PRP Treatments
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses a concentrated preparation of platelets from your own blood.
Overview
PRP is prepared by drawing a small sample of your blood and processing it to concentrate platelets. The preparation is then delivered to a targeted area, often with image guidance.
PRP is being studied for a range of musculoskeletal applications. During your consultation, Dr. Alapour will review current evidence, whether PRP may be appropriate for your concern, and what to realistically expect.
Areas we commonly evaluate
- Tendon-related concerns

- Ligament strain
- Select sports and overuse injuries
- Muscle-related concerns
